South Carolina-based songwriter and producer Contour injects a blend of soul, jazz and indie-pop into his music. Out earlier this year was his debut EP Weight, which uses experimental, lo-fi production styles to capture his bizarre, jazz-filled melodies. Following on from that, Contour's fresh single 'Go Away' has landed, alongside a home-made video. A catchy bass line and pondering guitar line present themselves over a shuffling beat. Contour's vocals are non confrontational, sopping with spacey delay and reverb, as he kindly asks "I wish you would go away", he continues..."wiping the tears away".
